As an active adult community for those 55 years of age and older, Huntington Landmark offers fantastic amenities located within walking distance to the beach, grocery stores, downtown shopping, restaurants and the pier in Huntington Beach. This friendly neighborhood community has become renowned for its recreational facilities, active clubs, special programs and thrilling events – all in a non-assisted-living environment.
Huntington Landmark was built over a 13-year period in 13 phases consisting of 1,238 one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums with extensive recreational facilities and expansive greenbelts that provide the community a park-esque setting. The residential neighborhood nourished by Huntington Landmark’s realization has the lowest density of any residential neighborhood in Huntington Beach; the community itself is pet-friendly and in close proximity to the city’s “Dog Beach.” Indeed, groups of walkers, joggers and cyclists can be seen at all hours of the day enjoying the serenity of the surroundings.
Beginning with a main lounge that houses dinner dances and other special events, the amenities offered by Huntington Landmark include two multi-purpose rooms, billiards room, library, ceramics room, fully-loaded wood shop, sewing room, state-of-the-art gym, putting green, tennis courts, shuffle board courts, horseshoe pits, two pools and spas and much more. Additionally, residents can rent these facilities for private functions.
Huntington Landmark residents can enjoy a myriad of aquatic and aerobic exercise classes, educational classes, arts-and-crafts classes, luncheons, fashion shows, dinner dances and pool parties for just about every major holiday, while many active clubs for resident enjoyment also await including golf, singing, tennis, woodworking and toy-making. A seven-member Board serving two-year staggered terms governs the Association; many active committees whose members are thanked each year at a recognition dinner assist the Board. These committees include Architectural, Election, Disaster Preparedness, Finance, Hearing, Insurance, Landscape, Maintenance, Painting, Property Protection, Recreation, Suggestion, Vehicle Storage Area (RV) and Welcome, along with other Ad-Hoc Committees.
An on-site General Manager, along with staff, tends to the day-to-day duties of the Association.
The Huntington Landmark community is gated at both the Atlanta and Indianapolis entrances, with the Atlanta gate staffed 24-hours-a-day with accessible control officers. In addition, the community employs a daily roving patrol officer who assists with varied duties. A monthly assessment of $465 (dues) includes water, trash, earthquake and flood insurance as well as common area maintenance and landscaping.
