This was the tragic event that resulted in 583 deaths. Many of the victims were also from the Los Angeles Airport, where the Pan Am plane originated. Nearby, the Westminster Civic Center has a Veterans Memorial at Sid Goldstein Freedom Park. This memorial honors those who died fighting for the Vietnam War.
