La Cuesta Racquet Club Overview
Built between 1975 and 1976, the La Cuesta Racquet Club townhome community of Huntington Beach represents a tranquil living experience near downtown HB off Delaware Street, its residences in close proximity to Main Street, the Huntington Beach Pier and Pacific City. Some 140 attached townhomes beckon those seeking a private-esque lifestyle, what with the units nestled within large greenbelt areas that flow throughout the community.
All townhomes here are two-story units boasting multiple configurations of three-bedroom layouts, with floor plans ranging from a three-bedroom/two-bath example with approximately 1,500 square-feet of living space to a three-bedroom/two-and-a-half-bath variant with 1,800 square-feet of living space. Each unit comes with an attached two-car garage as well as laundry areas and large outdoor patios.
Of course, most prospective buyers looking into this area often ask where La Cuesta Racquet Club’s name came from – and while the community itself doesn’t offer a ton of amenities, it does boast, as its namesake suggests, a beautiful and well-maintained on-site tennis court that’s perfectly illuminated and situated in the middle of the complex. Meanwhile, within close proximity are some of the best things Huntington Beach has to offer such as the beach and downtown district, and the exterior of the townhome units themselves have undergone a renovation over the last several years, adding tile roofs and fresh paint.
What makes the La Cuesta Racquet Club townhome community so appealing to so many is the fact that it offers a taste of downtown Huntington Beach…without all the traffic and noise. From the complex’s well-manicured grounds to the aforementioned greenbelts, huge shade trees and large park-esque area situated next to the tennis court, this layout is large enough for playing Frisbee, enjoying a picnic lunch with the family or engaging in a game of catch with the dog.
With two entrances to the community, access is non-troublesome, and even though the grounds aren’t gated, La Cuesta Racquet Club still feels very private because of its overt seclusion from surrounding homes, aided by a strategically-built block wall. What’s more, residents and guests often refer to the “free-flowing” nature of the complex, regardless of the fact that it is only accessible by such residents and guests, as well as its plethora of parking for both groups.
The tennis court at the heart of the complex brings with it straightforward regulations; the court is reserved for tennis players only, and guests are required to be accompanied by a resident or show a guest card.
Beyond these amenities are a clubhouse and common sidewalks, as well as mailboxes grouped in designated areas throughout the community.
According to residents we have spoken and done business with in the area, the best feature about the La Cuesta Racquet Club neighborhood are the attached two-car garages – all of which offer direct interior access, something very difficult to find on the Huntington Beach realty scene.
La Cuesta Racquet Club townhomes are located at the corner of Delaware Avenue and Memphis Street in the downtown Huntington Beach area, a spot that puts them within biking distance to the Huntington Beach Pier, Pacific City and the popular Main Street restaurants in downtown Huntington Beach. Beach Boulevard is only a block over, and runs south of Pacific Coast Highway and north of the Bella Terra Shopping Mall and 405 freeway.
Bedrooms and Baths in Review
These spacious, two-story models are available in various three-bedroom plans, starting with a three-bed/two-bath version boasting approximately 1,500 square-feet. Another three-bed unit puts the master downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom, while the uber-popular selection remains the three-bed/two-and-a-half-bath unit with an open loft and approximately 1,800 square-feet of space.
Additional features include fireplaces, exposed beam ceilings, vaulted ceilings, laundry hook-ups and large private patios.
La Cuesta Racquet Club townhomes are currently selling from the high $600s to the low $800s, with buyer demand significant due to their location, large three-bedroom layouts and attached garages.
